How to roll back to older version of Elementor?

Have you felt a need to roll back to older version of Elementor? Did your website just crash after updating the latest version of Elementor? Then this article is for you.

The latest version of Elementor isn’t always what you expect, especially the major version. (And this is not limited to Elementor only, but all plugins)

If you have problems after updating to the latest version of Elementor, you can roll back to the old version.

To downgrade your Elementor to an earlier version, follow the below steps:

  1. Go to Elementor > Tools on your WordPress dashboard.
  2. Open the Version Control tab.
  3. Select the version you want to revert from the Recovery version drop-down list.
  4. Click the Reinstall v.x.x button.

The same goes with the Elementor Pro.

You can select the version you want to revert from the Rollback Pro Version options drop-down menu and click the Reinstall v.x.x button.

Don’t forget to click the Save Changes button to apply the new changes you just made.

You should back up your website before following the steps above. If you really want to use all the newer versions of Elementor as soon as they are released, you can also create a staging site to test if the version is stable enough before installing it on your live site.
